Artist
Statement
I have wanted
to be an artist since I was a child coveting the 64-count box of crayons. I won
the first piece
of my art collection from a N.O.W auction in college and hoped that one day I
would be creating my own own art.
I
explored one medium to another, starting
with pencil, pen & ink, watercolor, pottery,
to ceramic tile, bronze casting, iron and
painting and although I continue to work
in many of these media, I find I am drawn
to glass because of the way light can play
through or reflect off of it. I’m attracted
to its fragility and its strength.
As
I am self-taught, there is still much to
explore and learn working with glass.
