Artist Bio
Carol Sweetwood is a multi-medium
artist who lives and works in Liberty, MO
from her home studio.
Carol
has been seriously painting and enjoying
fine art photography for the last eight
years and began showing and selling her work
about five years ago, mainly at private
shows, art galleries and boutiques. She
is a prolific artist and usually has two
or three paintings going at one time and
does not strictly adhere to one particular
subject, style or medium. Oil is the preference
but she also dabbles in watercolor, acrylic,
colored pencil, pastels, and of course,
the camera. The mood and subject dictate
the
medium.
Carol
is a regular contributing artist showing
and selling for over three years at Primary
Colors Art Gallery in Independence, MO.
Her greeting cards are currently at Town & Country
Florist and Boutique in Liberty.
Carol's
philosophy is that we do not have to search
far for the interesting
and the beautiful, as we are surrounded by it
every day even in the simplest things that
we take
for granted. All it takes is awareness of it. Most
of her photo and painting inspirations come from
her own home, neighborhood
and community.
Carol
characterizes herself in her art as a lover
of color and detail. She is
privileged to be able to put down on paper or
canvas what she feels, and hopes
that you will enjoy the small sample of her work
on display at Wines by Jennifer.
