Tucker is an Abstract Expression. She
was an art major at Columbia College in Columbia,
and also took classes
at University of Kansas and Kansas City Art Institute.

After the death of her husband, she moved to Paola,
Kansas and returned to painting under the direction
of American painter
David Gross in his studio.
Today, Kay’s studio is in her home where she
always been interested in art, and early studies
with Charles Stanley Lewis and at the Kansas
City Art Institute gave her a good foundation.
ultimately chose a career in Veterinary Medicine
and was in practice until 2013. Upon retirement,
she began studying with David Gross and has now
made the study of art a priority.
she has exhibited in several galleries and shows,
she is happiest in her studio in front of a canvas
with a brush in her hand.
