1893, newlyweds Edoardo and Angela Seghesio purchased
first home in Alexander Valley. As winemaker for the
prominent winery in Sonoma County, Edoardo recognized
vineyard potential surrounding the modest home. In
planted the “Home Ranch” to Zinfandel field-blended
amounts of Petite Sirah. In 1990, realizing the uniqueness
old Petite Sirah clone, seven more acres were planted
on the Home Ranch.
wine was barrel-aged 18 months in 50% French / 50%
American Oak, 30% of which was
Deep red hue.
