in 1998 by a Swiss lawyer and wine aficionado, Viña
von Siebenthal has developed into one of Chile's
most acclaimed producers, one which eloquently
expresses the extraordinary characteristics of the
beautiful Aconcagua Valley terroir.
1554, a Spanish priest named Francisco de Carabantes
brought to Chile its very first vine. Viña von
Siebenthal chose to honor this pioneer of Chilean viticulture
by naming its very first wine Carabantes.
Syrah expresses itself in and perfumed tones, with
intense violet and blackberry characters intermingling
with hints of cinnamon and other spices, with an elegant
yet firm structure that shows true varietal characteristics.
