The home ranch of Emeritus Vineyards lies along Sonoma
County’s Goldridge—an eight mile long low-elevation
ridge running from Sebastopol to Forestville in the
lower reaches of the Russian River Valley. Considered
by many to be America’s Cote de Nuits, Goldridge is
home to many top Pinot Noir producers.
This very limited-production wine is extroverted in
nature, characterized by a fruit outburst and mild
acidity. The fresh fruit flavors of plum and cherry
govern the palate, with layers of spice and supple
tannins adding complexity and length. The wine is very
approachable and joyful right now, but will definitely
reward patience with proper cellaring.
