off our recent visit with John Duval at his winery
in Australia's famed Barossa Valley, it is our
privilege to present to you the magnificent "Plexus."
goal with Plexus is to express the wide spectrum
and Mourvedre, but also provide structure with
a seamless balance and long finish. He accomplishes
this by using a low percentage of new oak that
adds complexity rather than dominating
the berry fruit.
color is vibrant, deep crimson red-purple. The
nose shows fragrant spices and combines an array
of red fruits and subtle oak. The consistent palate
yields a flavorsome compote of red fruits, black
fruits and a variety of spices. Ripe, fine tannins
and good concentration provide structure, length
a seamless balance.
low-intervention winemaking techniques are employed,
allowing the wine to be approachable in its youth,
but also provide great potential for
improvement in the bottle under good cellaring
conditions for at least 8 - 10 years. Enjoy
with the “Basque Lamb Stew” from our Wines
