di Arceno lies in the hills of the Chianti region
between Florence and Siena, and enjoys a history
that dates to the time of the Etruscans who dominated
central Italy prior to the arrival of the Roman Empire.
Located at the historical birthplace of its culture,
the root of the Italian word Arceno is in fact the
Etruscan word arché, meaning origin point.
In 1994, the estate was acquired by Jess Jackson
and Barbara Banke of Kendall-Jackson fame, and today
their daughter Julia is in charge.
This Bordeaux-style blend embodies the diversity
of the estate. Cherry, raspberry and red plum aromas
fill the glass, along with hints of lavender, honey,
mint and herbs. A juicy texture supports the cherry,
plum, and cedar flavors, while the firm yet integrated
tannins provide a balanced structural precision that
will allow for extended aging under proper conditions.
