planted in the 1880’s, Laurel
Glen Vineyard has long been considered one of
the iconic Cabernet vineyards of California. The
vineyard sits at an elevation of 800-1000 feet
on an east-facing Sonoma Mountain slope, situated
above the fog line with optimal exposure that captures
the first rays of morning sunlight, but avoids the
burning heat of late afternoon.
vintage was one of the best California has seen
in years, with a growing season that featured
plenty of sunshine and no major heat spells, resulting
in long hang time and excellent flavor development.
The wine entices with aromas of chocolate-covered
cherries, vanilla and honeysuckle, with lush flavors
punctuated by blackberries, sweet tobacco and an
elusive floral note.
