grapes for this red blend take their roots in
the southernmost part of the Rhône Valley,
in an area very near and similar to the prestigious
“Crau” plateau in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. These
old Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan and
Grenache vines average 65 years of age, and grow
in stone-covered terraces on sun-drenched hillsides,
watered by tributaries of the Rhône and windswept
by the Mistral.
with good structure and tight tannins. Aromas and
flavors remind of juicy, black raspberries,
violets, and peppery herbs. Good acidity and elegant
minerality make for a food-friendly wine with an
aging potential of 12 - 15 years.
