2005
Airlie Winery
"7"
Willamette
Valley, Oregon
Airlie's
7 is like a gathering of great friends. Bring them
together, let their best qualities shine and celebrate
the mix. This wine evolved by blending seven delicious
Willamette Valley white varietals; showing off their
vibrancy, appreciating their approachability, and
experiencing their complexity. A touch of sweetness
with great structure creates this standout gem. A
food-friendly wine or a stand alone sipper, 7 will
have you calling all your friends and letting the
good times roll.
The
seven varietals are Müller Thurgau, Riesling,
Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot
Gris, and Muscat Ottonel.
"One
of the top 15 value brands in the United States...
these are no one-hit wonders...names you can trust
every time you go to the store...Airlie excels
with whites." - June, 2006 Wine & Spirits.

Red
Wine
2003 Alta Vista
Premium
Cabernet Sauvignon
Lujan
de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
The
Premium line is the fruit of the Varietal Management
of the Alta Vista production team who focuses on
adapting viticultural and vinification processes
to optimize the specific characteristics of each
individual varietal. After a short pre-fermentation
maceration, the Premium Cabernet
Sauvignon is fermented
in temperature-controlled
cement and stainless steel tanks. After a 10 day
post-fermentation maceration to obtain structure
and to round out the tannins, 50% of the wine then
ages in 50% French oak and 50% American barrels for
8–10 months.
This
wine is a deep ruby-violet color with varietally
correct aromas of green pepper and herbal notes.
On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied
with rich, deep fruit flavors and well-integrated
tannins.
Mendoza is the most important wine-producing province
in Argentina, as this province produces more than 80%
of Argentina’s wine from its 150,000 vine-planted hectares.
Mendoza’s wine industry increasingly focuses on quality,
and on finding the optimum relations between different
varieties and terroirs.
The
climate of the region is mild though the mountains
provide a certain degree of aridity.
The temperature in summer ranges from 64º F to
92º F and days are hot and nights are fresh. In
winter, the minimum temperature is 37º F and the
maximum registered temperature is 61º F.
