White Wine 2006 Goldwater Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough, New Zealand The Goldwater Marborough Sauvignon Blanc is consistently reviewed as one of the very best Sauvignons in the world, reinforcing Marlborough's claim to be the world's finest region for Sauvignon Blanc. Moderate flowering with even, temperate weather made for a great growing season in Marlborough in 2006 and produced fruit of consistent quality and ripeness. The wine is tart, with excellent intensity of white grapefruit, grass, passion fruit and lime juice flavors. Crushed stone and refreshing citrus tanginess carry through the finish. Drink now. 20,000 cases made. Red Wine "9 Mile Road" 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek, South Australia   When Australian settlers arrived in Langhorne Creek in the 1800's, they planted grape vines that have flourished ever since. A road exactly 9 miles long now runs through the valley of Langhorne Creek which, thanks to those settlers, has become one of Australia's premier wine growing regions. This selected vintage from 9 Mile Road winery is full-bodied and flavorful. Deep purple in color, it has lifted aromatics of Bing cherries and mulberries, flavors of blackberries with a touch of mocha, and a finish with soft, polished tannins. Although this wine will improve for 4 to 5 years, it is drinking beautifully right now. Awarded 88 Points by Wine Spectator.
