White Wine St. George 2007 Coastal California Chardonnay   Chardonnay, America's most popular white wine grape, produces wines of elegance and finesse. The classic Chardonnay flavor association is applelike, but oak aging often changes the tastes toward peach or pineapple, always with attractive richness on the palate. Balanced aging in stainless steel and small oak barrels creates a supple, full-flavored Chardonnay. The 2007 St. George Chardonnay is straw-gold in color with pineapple aromas, rich texture in the mouth, and a long, creamy finish. Excellent with pasta, mild ripe cheeses and shellfish.

Red Wine Albacore Vintners 2006 Woolundry Road Cabernet Sauvignon McLaren Vale, South Australia   Based in McLaren Vale, South Australia, Albacore Vintners is a privately owned global wine agency supplying wines from carefully selected family-owned vineyards from throughout South Australia. The Woolundry Road range of wines have been sourced from the cooler regions of Southern Australia, offering character and depth of flavor with unrivalled value for money. Each wine has been hand-crafted and meticulously engineered by the winemaker, Steve Grimley, to ensure a range of soft, approachable and easy drinking wines. The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced mostly from the cool Limestone Coast. It offers a cassis and cedar nose with notes of black cherry, plum, and blackberry that give way to dark, chocolaty flavors. Supple-textured and tasty, it has some underlying structure and a lengthy finish. Drink this well-balanced effort over the next 3-4 years.
