Henschke family is one of the longest-established wine
names in Barossa. This beautiful wine from the exceptional
2005 vintage is a blend of 63% Shiraz, 18% Cabernet
Cabernet Franc from fruit grown in Eden Valley and
in 20% new, 80% used French (50%) and American (50%)
hogsheads for 20
months prior to blending and bottling.
The wine is very deep crimson in
color, with sweet lifted aromas of blackberries, plums,
mulberries, and hints of anise, cedar and vanilla.
Ripe sweet blackberry fruits appear on the
lush, layered palate. Complex, with velvety tannins,
great concentration, very long and silky.
now through 2015.
