Their combined experience from working vintages all
over the world, coupled with their finely tuned palates
attention to detail, ensures Mud House wines are the
finest expressions of New Zealand's cool climate regions.
100% stainless steel fermentation and
maturation yields a pale straw wine with lifted
notes of guava, elderflower and fresh nettles. The mouthwatering
flavors of tropical fruits, citrus and green beans marry
perfectly to give a long, balanced finish.
Pair with fresh Blue Cod, lightly grilled
with new season potatoes and garden peas.
Barrel Select Carmenère
Cachapoal Valley, Chile
Valley is known for its Carmenère par excellence
- the source of Chile’s finest Carmenères.
It is from here that Santa Ema's "barrel select" line
begins with a careful selection of barrels that
show a tremendous fruit expression representing
of the variety.
wine is aged
100% in oak barrels for eight months, with additional bottle aging of at
least four months. The color is intense violet-red, with well-balanced
aromas that recall black cherries, fine herbs, black
pepper, and a bit of chocolate.
Well-rounded with big body, good concentration, and a pleasing, fruity finish.
