Wines for the Wines
by Jennifer Wine Club:
Lakes, New York
Empire Estate was created to showcase the incredible
Finger Lakes winemaking region in New York State. Their
Riesling is crafted in a dry style to show that this
dynamic grape doesn't always have to be sweet!
Brilliant yellow-gold color, with piercing mineral
aromas of shale, limestone and gravel complemented
by notes of green apple, lemon, citrus blossom and
golden apricot. On the palate, lemon-lime acidity frames
flavors of golden apple, grapefruit pith and ginger
through a long, savory finish.
Perfect with the “Savory Shrimp Dip” from our Wines
by Jennifer Cookbook!
Reserva Red Blend
The wine region
of Somontano lies at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains
in northeastern Spain. The area is a haven for a new
wave of modern winemaking focused on international
varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay
and Gewurztraminer, and Spanish noble grapes such as
Tempranillo and Garnacha.
is a blend of Cabernet, Tempranillo, Syrah, and Garnacha,
and ages for a minimum of 15 months in French and American
color, with clean, intense aromas and flavors of red
berries mingled with toasty and spicy notes from the
extended oak barrel aging. Silky and long with harmonious
structure, it’s a nice match for the “Basque Lamb Stew”
from our Wines
by Jennifer Cookbook.
by Jennifer is also proud to present our "Cellar
Club", featuring a new wine each month suitable for
long-term aging. Call the shoppe and ask for all
the details on this exciting Club, or visit our Featured
Cellar Club Wine page for details on this month's selection.
