Wines for the Wines
by Jennifer Wine Club:
Grange” Vieilles Vignes
Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie
For nine generations, the domaine has been growing
exceptional Melon de Bourgogne, the Pays Nantais
region’s unique and singular grape variety. Produced
with fruit from old vines of more than 35 years of
age grown on a number of small parcels of schist,
this 100% Melon is a typically fresh and racy Muscadet.
seven months sur lie before bottling, it is a wonderful
aperitif, but also a nice accompaniment
to shellfish, ocean and river fish, or fresh goat
cheese. For best results, try with the "Coquilles
St. Jacques" recipe from our Wines
by Jennifer Cookbook!
de Bourg Red Blend
Côtes de Bourg appellation was first
created in 1920, making it one of the oldest AOCs
in all of Bordeaux. Malbec has historically been
one of the appellation’s most important varieties,
and makes up 15% of this blend, along with 55%
Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet
The vines are planted on a soil of red gravel,
imparting much elegance and finesse. The proximity
of the Gironde River mitigates temperature extremes,
thus avoiding the risk of frosts in the spring.
Red fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry, and currant
are balanced with crisp acidity and sturdy tannins,
giving a wine that will provide enjoyment over
the next 6 – 8 years with proper cellaring.
Serve with the "Lamb Shanks Osso Buco" from our Wines
by Jennifer Cookbook.
by Jennifer is also proud to present our "Cellar
