is the founder and proprietor of
Wines by Jennifer®.
In her previous life in corporate America, she
many a night flying
herself to bed-and-breakfast inns
across the country, and always dreamed of owning one
someday. She pictured an inn
with each of the rooms themed after
countries of the world - sound familiar?
Kurt brings impressive food and beverage expertise to Wines
by Jennifer®, initially gained by time spent with a good friend
who was a restauranteur.
Proud parents of
two young adult children, he and wife Tracie have also long
had the travel bug. They always try to incorporate wine
and beer tourism while on the road, and one of Kurt's very
favorite memories is of stumbling upon a wine festival in the
Swiss Riviera town of Vevey and touring the amazing centuries-old
vineyards that frame Lake Geneva.
In addition to his wine and spirits background, as a Boulevard
alumnus and long-time home brewer, Kurt also knows his way
around the beer scene, so no matter your adult beverage of
choice, he will be most happy to assist!
Susanne started drinking white Zinfandel with friends after
college, but has since graduated (from both college and white
Zins) to bigger and better things.
Married to husband
Bob since 1981, one of her most special memories is of a
wine tour to Greece in 2012, where they both toured wineries
and vineyards on the island of Santorini.
An Iowa farm girl at heart, her leisure pursuits include Big
12 men’s basketball (go Cyclones!), gardening, cooking, entertaining,
travel, reading, and walking/hiking. However, according to
Susanne, her new favored activity has become trying new wines
at her “dream job” with us here at WBJ®!

As he has grown, so have his
responsibilities: from the early
days when his most important task was cleaning the cat
litter box, to today's mature young man capable of handling
most any job we throw at him.
Among Daniel's favorite
wine memories are sleeping in the back seat of the car while
Mom and Dad stopped at seemingly every Midwest tasting room
they passed, and of chauffeurring these same incorrigible
around Germany as they stopped at seemingly every tasting

Steve comes by his
interest in wine honestly, as he learned winemaking as a
youngster helping his dad make wine at home, a practice he
continued for many years on his own as an adult.
As with many wine
aficionados, Steve also counts cooking as a passion, and
believes every bottle of wine contains memories just waiting
to happen, more than likely by sharing over a perfectly paired
meal with friends.
Also a certified
BBQ judge, Steve stays fit from all his food and wine
activities by cycling every chance he gets.

to be assisting Jennifer

the globe in search of new and interesting adult beverages.

Our newest Team
Member, Michelle comes by her love of wine honestly, having been
exposed to the fruits of the vine at an early age growing

she is happiest when sharing a glass with friends and family.
Michelle is also
avid traveler and animal lover, and can often be found volunteering

(shown here in one of his favorite poses) is the official mascot
of Wines by Jennifer®. Although we can't recall the exact date
he was hired, estimates have his first day on the job at the

at the ready, on the front porch as a 7-cheese plate was being
delivered to an unidentified (and unsuspecting) customer.
(as he was first named) apparently liked
what he saw and decided this was to be his new home. When he
informed us that he wasn't particularly satisfied with
the name originally bestowed upon him, we decided to have

he soon became Pinot.
