"Women in Business"

Wines by Jennifer in historic downtown Parkville provides quality wines selected from the finest small boutique wineries around the world.

Owned and operated by Jennifer Stanton, the business has become an attraction in the historic district.

The boutique features specialty foods such as cheeses, local fresh breads delivered daily, olive oils, crackers, fresh fruit and many other food items that complement wine and enhance the wine-tasting experience.

Wine lovers may sample wines in a special tasting room all day Tuesday through Saturday. Flights of wine (small samples) based on different weekly themes are available. Wine by the glass and by the bottle is also available.

Wines by Jennifer also hosts private parties and special events. The spacious three-story facility, with its themed wine region rooms, art gallery and outdoor decks and wine garden, has hosted weddings and receptions, anniversary celebrations, bridal showers, birthday parties and business gatherings. Private catering is also available.

"We continue to beautify our pergola for more seating availability to accommodate larger parties," Stanton said.

Stanton said in her 20 years in the business world, she has learned the possibilities are endless for women in the workplace. She has held several executive-level positions at Fortune 150 companies, plus owned several businesses, including an aviation company.
