Only free run juice from parcels near the Chablis premier
cru vineyards of “Butteaux” and “Montmains” made it into
this dazzling
2006 mineral
cuvee. The grapes that make up this wine are gathered from
these vineyards and then fermented entirely in stainless
steel. This wine received extended contact with the lees,
which shows in an impressive richness of texture. Pair with
a shrimp or lobster sauce over pasta.

This young Austrian wine maker has won many awards for his
Gruner Veltliners in recent years. This wonderful, crisp
2007 vintage
has a bouquet of tree fruits (apple), herbaceousness, with
fresh
and lively sensations in the mouth. Excellent with Romanian
cheeses and our special appetizer of the week. Yum!

This winery is nestled on the sunny, limestone-rich slopes
of Canterbury, New Zealand. The winemaker boasts
an impressive resume, having trained in Europe as a winemaker/viticulturist
and now with over 30 years of international winemaking experience.
He has worked in many of the world's finest winemaking regions,
including Burgundy and Bordeaux in France, the Yarra Valley
in Australia, Stellenbosch in South Africa, the Napa Valley
in California and Tuscany in Italy. This 2007 Sauvignon Blanc
has a pale color with Sancerre-like aromas of lemon, talc
and
white
flowers.
Juicy, spicy, sophisticated, with brisk lime and crushed
stone flavors. It is a very pretty, balanced wine, finishing
classically
dry, understated and long. It conveys an impression of chalky
soil. Enjoy with a variety of salads.
-
This Austrian husband and wife team works the small organic
farm using biodynamic techniques to produce their wines.
Ripe
fruits
up front dominate the nose of this 2006 Pinot Noir. Strawberry,
cherry and a smell of jam suggest good physiologically ripened
grapes.
Dark
ruby color and multifaceted berried-aromas dominate the typical
Pinot style. A winning partner for dinner with butterflied
pork chops filled with your favorite stuffing.

This
winery sits in the heart of the Huapai and Kumeu wine region,
about 35km northwest of Auckland. It is an area steeped
in tradition, and is home to some
of the oldest vines in New Zealand. It was here in 1980 that
the winery was established with the aim of producing the very highest quality
wines
reflecting
New Zealand's outstanding cool climate
viticulture conditions. Ripe black cherry and strawberry notes are laced with
a richness of spice and oak overtones. This stylish 2006 vintage furthers
New Zealand’s reputation as one of the few countries to have successfully come
to
grips with
the fickle, supremely aristocratic Pinot Noir grape. Excellent with a plate of
hard
cheeses,
roasted nuts and strawberries.

There
are 900 hectares of vineyard in the Switzerland's southern
canton of Ticino and nearly 85% of its production is
of the
famous
Bordeaux vine variety, Merlot. Merlot del Ticino ranges
from light to medium bodied, and from well-sited vineyards
and
careful vinification using new oak can be as fine as good
red Bordeaux. Pair this 2004 vintage with
buffalo steaks hot off the grill!
