"Around the World
in Six Wines!"
Sparkling Wine
-
The
big flavors of this 2008 Moscato come from
vineyards located in the Paarl Ward region of Wellington at
the foot
of the Hawekwa mountain range in the Western Cape of South
Africa. This wine is a tongue-tingling treat that is
seductively sweet with big aromas of peaches, pears and apricots.
The light effervescence wakes up your taste buds and leads
into a crisp, flavorful finish.

Light
as a feather on a soft wind, this 2008 Torrontes
is crisply dry, yet exuding lime, peppery spice and
tropical
fruit
(think
of a juicy
papaya, the smell of jasmine and mango in the distance,
and lying in a hammock in a Hawaiian backyard). The
family founded their Mendoza estate in 1998; they
committed themselves to zero synthetics and the practice
of biodiversity, very much conscious of making only a
positive environmental impact, and establishing optimal
health and working conditions for their team. They like
to describe their vineyards, in fact, as a “playground
for insects and birds,” serving as natural protectors
of their vines.

This
2006 unoaked Chardonnay from China has a pronounced
light straw color. The nose has hints of tropical
qualities,
soft lychee,
star fruit and green apple. On the palate, the texture
is creamy with a good length and clean aftertaste.

This 2006 French Corbieres blend is a smooth, easy drinking
wine. You will find on the nose some blackberries and fruits
that
follow
through
to
the finish. The taste is smooth - fine, elegant tannins,
soft in the mouth with no rough edges. Enjoy with Spanish
tapas and rustic food.
-
This 2006 Paso Robles Zin starts with black cherry and plum
notes, and after this fruity introduction, the flavor explodes
with
more fruit,
spice, and soft tannins. This is the kind of Zin we like
- big and bold, with a playful attitude. Pair this with grilled
tenderloins…the perfect combination.
-
This 2006 100% Shiraz has a dark,
rich purple color. Made from grapes sourced from Limestone
Coast & Langhorne Creek, this delicious black Aussie wine
has hints of chocolate, menthol
and tobacco leaf on the nose. Plums, blackcurrant and spice
flavors abound on the palate and are perfectly balanced by
fine, supple tannins. Excellent with smoked meats!

Bruschette - $8
