"Wines for Your
of February 14th, 2017
- This old estate is located 165 metres up on the holy Montserrat mountain near
Barcelona. The 22 hectares of vineyards are sheltered and protected from cold
northerlies by the mountain itself. This exotic blend of Xarel-lo, Macabeu, Garnaxta
Blanca, Muscat, and Chardonnay has layers of flavors and zippy acidity, making
for a very versatile food wine and just a fun way to kick-start your palate!
- This domaine produces a deeply mineral Beaujolais from a predominantly
clay and limestone terroir, a rarity in a region dominated by granite soils.
The wine has profound minerality, a bright wild berry nose, and typical Beaujolais
finesse. This is undoubtedly one of the best Beaujolais AOC values available
- One of the so-called
“suitcase varietals,” Barbera came to California with the
early Italian immigrants. This Lodi Barbera is aged in oak
barrels to highlight the vibrant red fruit and blackberry
that are the centerpiece of the wine. Refined tannins and
lively acidity provide balance and complexity to ensure you
will enjoy every last drop of this delicious wine.
- This wine shows
all the hallmarks of Barossa Shiraz in a balanced and restrained
package. The fruit aromatics are loaded with red plum, cherries
and fresh-cut herbs. Medium- to full-bodied in the mouth,
it is soft and supple yet also rich and textural. Savory
black olive flavors, firm acidity, and fine tannins in the
mouth are balanced from start to finish. Careful and patient
cellaring will reward over the next 5 – 7 years.
- The Haut-Médoc
is a vast vineyard area located in the north of Bordeaux between
the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. Coming from the
outstanding 2010 vintage, this rustic, complex wine shows the
dark fruit notes and muscular, earthy minerality that only
Haut-Médoc can bring. This is a red Bordeaux to savor
early and often with the “Blue Cheese Pork Tenderloin with
Merlot Sauce” from our Wines
- This is the second
wine of a 2nd Grand Cru Classe producer in Sauternes that was
founded in 1709. The blend is 60% Semillon, 36% Sauvignon,
and 4% Muscadelle. Gentle floral aromas with notes of freshly
cut grass supported by sweet candied fruit flavors. Elegant,
with vibrant acidity and a long, highly satisfying finish.
