"Old World vs.
- The wine is made
from Lagrein grapes, a local varietal from the Trentino-Alto
Adige region in northern Italy. Light ruby-red in color,
with a complex aroma profile of wild red berries and floral
notes of roses and geranium. In the mouth, there is perfect
balance between the fresh acidity that comes from the surrounding
mountains and the full-bodied, fruity mouthfeel more typical
of a Mediterranean climate.
- This Willamette
Valley rosé is
a dry, deeply fruity wine layered with complex Pinot Noir
character. Saignée is French for “bleed,” and is a
specific method of rosé production that involves bleeding
off the juice after limited contact with the skins. Fermented
in neutral French oak barrels, the wine shows beautiful aromas
of red raspberry, cigar box, blood orange, and strawberries
and cream. Flavors are of strawberries, spice, white pepper,
and Rainier cherry.
- This wonderful
Oregon Pinot is full of intense aromas of brambly blackberry,
sweet tobacco, graham cracker, and cardamom. In the mouth,
you'll find sweet dark cherries, forest floor, dark chocolate
nibs, blackberry, and chai spice. It finishes with rich,
smooth tannins and balanced acidity that make it a brilliant
match for any fare. Especially tasty with traditional Northwest
dishes such as cedar-plank salmon or wild mushroom soup.
- This winery is
part of a group of young producers committed
to making wines reflecting their Rioja terroir. Made of 95%
Tempranillo and 5% Viura from the family's organically farmed
estate in the Rioja Alavesa. Wild rose and ripe cherry aromas
and flavors are complemented by crushed red berries, soft
earth, and wild green herbs. Pair with the “Borrowed Bean
Soup” recipe from our Wines
by Jennifer® Cookbook!
- The wine is a blend
of indigenous Trentino grapes Lagrein and Teroldego located
on the steeply terraced, granite-faced slopes of the Dolomite
Mountains. Intense and deep ruby-garnet in color, it has
complex aromas of red fruits and spicy notes. Ripe red and
black fruit flavors of cherry and blueberry, with a beautiful
juiciness and balance. Notes of toasty oak, vanilla and spiciness
add complexity to this delicious wine!
- This Bordeaux-style
blend is of such exceptional quality that it has long been
the winery's best-selling wine. Made from 100% estate fruit
from Calistoga, all five Bordeaux varietals are represented
in the blend. Refined, complex and elegant, with well-integrated
aromas and flavors of black cherry, warm spice, and smoky
oak. The supple tannins make for excellent pairings with
beef wellington, slow roasted lamb with caramelized red wine
sauce, or roast duck with citrus pan sauce.
