Tasting Table

Week of August 8th, 2017

White & Rosé Wines

  • Proud owners of nearly 50-year-old vines, the château blends a high proportion of Sémillon (60%) and a splash of Muscadelle (5%) with Sauvignon Blanc (35%) to create this refreshing Bordeaux blanc. The result is a rich, full, aromatic wine with a hefty mid-palate complementing a clean, fresh finish. This is a perfect go-to summer white that pairs well with anything from fish to poultry, picnic fare to Indian curries.
  • The wine is an assemblage of fruit from Pinot Noir vineyards throughout the Willamette Valley. Pale pink hues, with flavors of fresh, wild red berries and cherry blossoms joined by refreshing acidity. This is the perfect complement to warm summer days and dining al fresco with the “Roasted Garlic” recipe from our Wines by Jennifer® Cookbook!

Red Wines

  • The winery was founded in 2005 and spans 122 acres where the Chehalem Mountains converge with Ribbon Ridge. Dark red fruits and lifted floral elements dominate the nose, while a supple, intense, and refreshing combo of dark red fruit and rich tobacco covers your palate. This Pinot Noir is a pure pleasure to drink now, or over the next 4 - 6 years.
  • The winery’s prime Uco Valley location is dry and sunny practically every day of the year. The annual precipitation levels are low, with an average of only eight inches, mainly during the summer. This Malbec is an intense, purplish-red color, with complex aromas of red fruits, black berries, and delicate floral notes. In the mouth, the entry is sweet and mild. Fruity and fresh, with good intensity and a wide, lingering finish.
  • This producer makes just one wine, so 100% of their time, resources and passion revolve around what’s in your glass. A dark, decadent blend of Syrah, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah from Lodi, it is rich in mixed berries with hints of black pepper and bacon. The wine finishes with soft tannins and rich, dark fruit and subtle oak notes.
  • Darker than ink, this Russian River Petite Sirah is loaded with aromas and flavors of blueberry and Belgian chocolate. The saturated mouthful gives plenty of brambly berry flavors accented with dried blueberry and savory baking spice notes. This is a mouthful of wine that is darn near impossible to put down!
