Wine Tasting Table

Week of September 5th, 2017

White Wines

  • This wine is made in a small village just a few minutes from St. Emilion and Pomerol where only a handful of chateaux even produce a white wine. Primarily Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Sémillon, the wine is pale white-gold in color, with aromas and flavors of citrus, white peach, delicate butter and hazelnut. Elegant character and very refreshing in the mouth!
  • This wine represents the true essence of the California Sauvignon Blanc. Strikingly focused and concentrated, it showcases wave upon wave of honeyed melon, white peach, and lemon curd on both the nose and palate. The finish is bright and ultra clean, showcasing wet stone and fresh acidity that leaves you wanting another glass!

Red Wines

  • This Argentine wine is made from 100% hand-harvested Malbec grapes selected from the best parcels in Mendoza. It is aged for six months in both French and American oak barrels. Deep red color, with nice aromatic complexity and subtle, delicate tannins. Complex, long, and balanced, it's great with the “Blue Cheese Pork Tenderloin” recipe from our Wines by Jennifer® Cookbook!
  • This yummy California Cab features aromas truly reflective of the Paso Robles terroir: green bell pepper, barbeque seasoned steak and jammy, black plum. Medium-bodied with hints of blackberry and chocolate flavors, and mouthwatering, silky tannins that add balance and structure on a lingering finish. Pair alongside garlic and spinach stuffed chicken meatballs or beef tenderloin with braised red cabbage.
  • This California red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Syrah. Deep purple color accompanied by a lovely nose of blueberries, espresso and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and multilayered, this is a fantastic wine that will quite easily age for an extended period, but that also shows wonderfully right away.
  • The wine is made with fruit grown in “heritage” vineyards with a history that dates as far back as 1850. A blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignan, and Barbera, it features aromas of dark cranberry, baking chocolate, orange zest and a hint of cigar box. Rich blackberry and raspberry mingle with chocolate-covered cherries, all perfectly balanced with soft, mature tannins on a silky, lingering finish.
