The excitement is in the air, as our 14th annual Wines by Jennifer® March Madness tournament is now underway!

White Wines

  • Less than 90 minutes from Rome, Orvieto is one of the most striking, memorable, and enjoyable hill towns in central Italy. This Orvieto Classico is a blend of mostly Grechetto and Trebbiano, plus some Malvasia. Light straw yellow, with a fresh, delicate and persistent bouquet. Elegant and soft in the mouth, with typical almond notes throughout the finish. Pair with the “Olive Ball” recipe from our Wines by Jennifer® Cookbook!
  • This organic Garnacha Blanca from Spain's Terra Alta region highlights the clean taste, freshness and personality of the white Garnacha grape. Plump, round, and well-structured in the mouth, with white and citrus fruit notes and the subtle herbal hints characteristic of this grape variety. Pair with rice dishes, fish, or white meats.

Red Wines

  • After Sangiovese and Montepulciano, Barbera is the third most-planted red grape variety in Italy. This Barbera d'Alba has a pretty ruby-red color with violet reflections. Intense and fruity bouquet of cherry and wild berries. Soft flavor, medium-bodied, and good persistence, with characteristic acidity of the varietal.
  • This 100% Sangiovese is a deliciously concentrated example of Chianti Classico. Dark ruby color with pleasant aromas of sour cherry, baking spice, a little leather and cranberry. Rich notes of black cherry, fruitcake and plum on the palate. Ready to drink now, but it will evolve well over the next 24 months, softening and mellowing with bottle aging.
  • Toro means “bull” in Spanish, and while it is unclear exactly how this name came about, the bull is nonetheless a fitting symbol for the typically robust and powerful Toro red wines. This 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) is inky and dense, with earthy aromas that evolve into rich, sweet berry fruit. Good liveliness and chewy tannins, with a flavor profile of blackberry and cassis that is spot-on Toro.
  • The château is located in the rolling slopes of Entre-deux-Mers, between the Gironde and Dordogne rivers. The blend is 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc made with fruit from vines averaging 22 years of age. Ripe plum and tobacco notes with sturdy tannins and lively acidity. Excellent balance and length complete the package on this excellent value Bordeaux.
