Week of June 5th, 2018

White & Rosé Wines

  • This fresh and aromatic white wine hails from Salta’s remote northern Valle de Cafayate. Attractive golden color with green tones, with citrus aromas of pink grapefruit and a floral mix. The mouth has a lovely level of acidity showcasing a modern, fresh and unique style of Torrontés.
  • This producer is generally considered Trentino's finest cantine sociale. Founded in 1858, the growers have a vast grapegrowing and winemaking history working vineyards from 800 to 2500 feet above sea level. This Sauvignon is straw-yellow in color with golden tones. Intense aromas of fig, nutmeg and peach lead to a medium-bodied palate with vibrant citrus fruit and undertones of white pepper.
  • This bright and clean rosé wine showcases the Malbec grape's unique expression as a rosé. Aromas are of fresh red fruits like cherry and strawberry, with subtle notes of spice and pepper. The palate is balanced and medium-bodied, making a nice pairing with the “Strawberry Pancakes” recipe from our Wines by Jennifer® Cookbook!

Red Wines

  • This Cabernet Sauvignon is made with fruit harvested from vineyards on Paso’s east side. This region, marked by a combination of warm temperatures, cool nights and gravelly well-draining soils, allows Cabernet to maintain its natural acidity yet offer ripe, smooth tannins. Aromas of ripe fruit and baking spice are followed by brooding, dark fruit flavors of black currant, plum and blueberry that flow across the palate.
  • With its extreme heat, stark soils and chilly nights, Paso Robles is an excellent growing region for Zinfandel. The vineyards are between 30 to 70 years old, each yielding only a few clusters with small, intensely flavored berries, which lead to an elegant and complex wine. Dark berry and spicy notes aromas lead to a palate rich with jammy, ripe plum and blackberry flavors bolstered by a touch of black pepper and sweet, toasted oak.
  • This balanced and rich California red blend (Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Tannat, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah) is loaded with plum and spice character, with hints of dried fruits and dried meat. Medium to full body, round and soft tannins and a delicious finish.
