Week of July 10th, 2018

White & Rosé Wines

  • The wine takes it name from the beautiful, fortified, hilltop town of Orvieto in central Italy. The blend is Grechetto, Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes grown in the oldest production zone labeled “Classico.” Light straw yellow color, with a fresh and delicate, yet persistent bouquet. Elegant and soft in the mouth, with typical almond notes on the lengthy finish. Ideal with appetizers, fish courses and lighter meals.
  • This wine was designed to showcase the true character of the Languedoc by blending over 10 local varietals. Tthe wine is golden color, with fresh minerality and citrus-like character. Very long and complex, this amazing white blend would be a nice companion for sea bass or other white fish.
  • The property is perched on a limestone plateau in the heart of Touraine in France's beautiful Loire Valley. While some local vignerons employ up to 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for their reds, this domaine makes only single-varietal Cabernet Franc wines. Their rosé is fermented in stainless steel and produced with no residual sugar and no malolactic fermentation, resulting in a clean, pure, and fresh wine perfect for summer sipping!

Red Wines

  • The winery produces this 100% Pinot Noir from both estate fruit and fruit sourced from other prestigious vineyard sites throughout the Willamette Valley. Aged nine months in 100% French oak, 25% of which is new. Soft notes of red fruits and a meaty spice, with a hint of Oregon forest floor, pair with the “Deli-Style Turkey Rollups” from our Wines by Jennifer® Cookbook!
  • This 100% Corvina is produced from the best grapes from the most suitable areas in Valpolicella. Deep ruby-red with violet highlights, with a classic Valpolicella bouquet of cherries, plums and elegant spices. Round and structured on the palate, it surprises with very silky tannins and a long persistent finish. Pronounced but well-integrated acidity makes this wine very food-friendly and easy to drink.
  • The winery is located near the quaint town of Calistoga in the north end of Napa Valley. The blend is 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Syrah, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec. Bright aromas of cherry, blueberry, raspberry and cassis lead to rich flavors of blackberry, bing cherry and mocha. Graceful, velvety tannins from eight years of aging guide you through the long, fruit-driven finish.
