White Wines
  • Vinho Verde is a well-known wine region in northern Portugal where the wines are so fresh and youthful that they earn the moniker verde (“green”). Although not a true sparkling wine, most white Vinho Verde has an obvious petillance. This dry, light-bodied wine is a blend of the classic Portuguese white grapes Loureiro, Trajadura and Pederna, and will be quite refreshing on a nice, warm day – if we ever have one!
  • This Napa winery is just a short distance from downtown St. Helena, which gives their talented winemakers access to some of the finest grapes in the world. Light golden-straw color, with aromas of lemon, butterscotch, melon, pear, and a hint of spice. Medium-bodied with classic Chardonnay characteristics of crisp, clean pear and pineapple fruit balanced by steely acidity. Red Wines

  • This domaine enjoys one of the finest reputations in all of Beaujolais, and their 17 acres of vineyards contain a very high percentage of old vines considered to be among the best in the area. The wines are incredibly rich and powerful for Beaujolais, often improving with a few years in bottle. Full-bodied, ripe and soft, with sweet, mouthfilling black cherry fruit and excellent balance. Perfect with a slight chill and a plate of charcuterie and mild cheeses.
  • Made with one of Chile's signature red grapes, this terroir-driven Carmenere from Colchagua Valley is dark ruby in color. Aromas of black fruits and fresh herbs lead to a full yet soft palate that balances black cherry and licorice notes with warm spices and subtle, toasty cedar tones. Very well focused throughout, the wine shows fresh, elegant acidity and a nice graphite edge on the long and lengthy finish.
  • Not only a famous wine region, Saint-Émilion's history goes back at least to Roman times. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has fascinating Romanesque churches and ruins stretching all along its steep and narrow streets. This Merlot-driven Right Bank blend is deep cherry-red color with garnet highlights. A mixture of subtle wood notes and cooked fruit character lead to a powerful and rich taste with firm tannins built for aging. Perfectly suited for tasty meats such as beef or lamb, and strong cheeses.
  • Most Ruby Ports such as this one are a blend of young wines from multiple vintages untamed by age. This wine has an intense and well defined ruby hue, with intense aromas reminiscent of very ripe fruit, fine-tuned through careful blending. Full-bodied and rich, it has a fine balance of sweetness and tannin, giving it unique characteristics on a fine, attractive and long finish. Put a slight chill on it and serve with dark chocolate - yummy!
